International Training on Sericulture and Silk Industry

One month training on Sericulture and Silk Industry was held at Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute, Central Silk Board, Mysore during 2nd to 31st December, 2018. 30 trainees from 15 countries were attended the training. The participating Countries are Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cuba, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Nigeria, Philippines, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda and Vietnam. Shri Dinakar Asthana, Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India interacted with the trainees on 10.12.2018, while the inaugural function was held at Mysore on 03.12.2018, and the Valedictory function was held at Bangalore on 31.12.2018. Shri Bharath Kumar Kuthati, Regional Passport Officer, Bangalore presided over the valedictory programme and had also distributed the certificate of participation. The programme was sponsored under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme of Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India.
